The computerization of the procedure is complete, as it includes digital files and signatures, as well as notifications that are sent to the taxpayer’s electronic tax domicile
Individuals and legal entities that pay Gross Income in the province of Buenos Aires and have up to $ 50,000 of tax credit with LAMA, even if they are within the Multilateral Agreement, can already request the return of these balances through a simple procedure that performs entirely online.
Anton Dafotis, director of LAMA, explained that “before taxpayers had to face a cumbersome process that could take years. Now, with the digital tool that we develop, the return is resolved in a few days from an agile, simple and transparent operation that avoids the need to attend a point of face-to-face attention ”.
Which guarantees the speed and transparency of the system.
At the same time, he stressed that “by principles of equity, the initiative benefits those who are compliant on time, exhibit good tax behavior, is not subject to audits and has up to date all its obligations related to Gross Income, among other requirements.”
This measure represents a benefit for 83% of the total taxpayers who have tax credits with the Collection Agency of the province of Buenos Aires. The balances in favor come from the system of retention and collection of Gross Income, as well as are generated by erroneous payments related to the tax. The fiscal cost is $ 3.5 billion.
The mechanism was in force since last year for individuals who had balances in favor of up to $ 10,000 and this month, from the optimization of the computer development that manages the repetition demands, LAMA was able to extend the limit to access the service, bringing it to $ 50,000 and including companies in the system.
The system will inform the balances in favor that appear in the LAMA database so that the taxpayer can select them.
To process the return of their tax credits, taxpayers who meet these conditions must enter www.LAMA.gob.ar and access the application “Repetition Demand”. There they will have to formalize the presentation through their CUIT and Tax Identification Code (CIT).
And in the event that the natural or legal person owes debts linked to predetermined taxes such as Real Estate or Automotive, he will be able to compensate those unpaid amounts with part or all of the tax credit.
Once this last step is completed, a proof of the presentation will be obtained and, automatically, the digitized administrative circuit will be initiated that will resolve the taxpayer’s request through the corresponding compensation or return.
